Bereavement Service

Hartlepool Bereavement Service is a voluntary organisation based in Hartlepool and run by local people.  Based in the Salvation Army building on Park Road, the service aims to support those who are grieving for a loved one.

As well as being someone to talk to, the Bereavement Service can help with 'low level' practical needs such as accompanying you to an appointment or getting you a prescription.

Hartlepool Bereavement Service can also help you with or put you in touch with a wide range of other agencies offering help and advice on topics such as;

  • Welfare benefits
  • Wills - probate
  • Accomodation
  • Estates
  • Social activities
  • Practical issues

Office hours are 9 am until 5 pm, Monday to Friday.  An answerphone service is available outside of these times.
